Our Story

Four generations on the birthplace of Texas.

Washington County is where Texas declared its independence. It's also where our family has raised cattle and horses for as long as anyone can remember.

The Family & The Land

We didn't choose this work. We were raised in it.

The JM iron has marked our cattle for three generations. It started as a way to know our own animals on open range; it became a promise about how they're bred, raised, and stood behind. That promise is the whole brand.

We run registered Angus and performance Quarter Horses on the same Blackland Prairie our family has worked for decades — selecting hard for soundness, disposition, and honest performance, and keeping the data to back every claim we make.

The Brand

What the JM iron stands for.

Stewardship

We leave the prairie better than we found it — rotational grazing, native grass, healthy water.

Genetics

Every selection decision is backed by data: EPDs, ultrasound, genomics, earnings.

Standing behind it

When you buy from us, you get the truth about the animal and our help long after the sale.

Come see the operation.

We welcome serious buyers to walk the pastures, meet the animals, and talk genetics in person.
